Skin Care Travel Essentials

As I’m sitting in Zurich airport and waiting for my flight back to Paris in 6 hours, I thought I would use this time to use the black side table as a background for my skin care travel essentials. So, here we go:

The product I’ve been loving for my dry skin is Lait Crème Concentré by Embryolisse. Thanks to Alma, who recommended it to me! This face cream is the Holy Grail for a dry skin and for all skin types in general, especially, in winter time.  Being rather thick in texture, it feels very nourishing but not heavy or greasy. I shared it with my bestie who has a mixed skin type and she loved it as well. The product’s composition sounds lovely: shea butter, aloe vera, soja proteins and beeswax. No parabens! PLUS, standing next to La Roche-Posay, Bioderma, Avène etc 30 ml tube is priced at ± 7€, here in France.

Eye cream

My Herborist Silky All-Day Moisturising Eye Gel. This product is rather pricey which makes me not love it but I still do enjoy it very much. I shared a more detailed review over here.

Skin Problems

Effeclar Duo from La Roche-Posay has been my go to product for 3 years now. It claims to unclog and clear out your skin as well as make the scars disappear quicker. I’m not sure about the last, but it definitely has been my saviour in terms of bad skin periods and getting rid of uninvited friends on my face. I use it either locally or all over my face before my moisturiser and it helps A LOT. Again, I saw many people giving a positive feedback about it. It simply works! Price tag is from 9 to 14€ in Paris for a 40 ml tube which lasts a long time. Considering the way I use it, I bought 2 of them in 3 years which is a great value.

Lanolin-ägg- Tvål [Eggwhite Facial Care] from Victoria-Fabrik in Helsingborg in Sweden. Oh là là, very mouthful! This product in form of a soap is a gift from Alma as well. It is quite special. First time I saw it and read the instructions, I thought it would feel drying on my skin. You create a dense foam rolling it in between your hands as a soap [dah!] then distribute the foam on your face and leave for 5 minutes. Obviously, I don’t have that much patience. I leave it while I brush my teeth. And you know what? This simple looking product from Sweden actually works quite well! It doesn’t feel drying despite all my scepticism and washes off impurities.

Make-up bag

Last but not least, my Clinique make-up bag. I’ve collected two Clinique bags and use them to keep together my skin care and make-up in my bathroom. Small spaces and student budget decisions.
