This year I’ve been totally converted to oil based make up cleansers. I believe they are suitable for all skin types and are very effective at taking the paint and dirt off your face.
I was hooked after trying out Moringa Cleansing Balm by Emma Hardie [around 53 € for 100 ml] which is kind of a luxury product. So, after there was nothing left, I went on a hunt for a cheaper alternative: Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil by The Body Shop [15 € for 200 ml]. And I’m very happy with it!
First of all, it smells fresh and floral to me and not like camomile tea which I was expecting! Secondly, unlike EH Balm it comes in a more convenient form: in a bottle with a pump. I take one pump and massage it into a dry skin. It takes all of my paint, including my eye makeup, efficiently without making my skin feeling dry. I also find that Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil takes off my mascara better than the EH one. Although, Moringa Cleansing Balm feels more nourishing. In addition, Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil is suitable for sensitive skin and claims to take even waterproof makeup off.
Thus, having a better packaging than EH Moringa Cleansing Balm and coming with a more attractive price tag, this cleansing oil wins a place in my daily skin care routine for now.
