Cicalfate Repair Cream from Avène

It is this time fo the year when we get a runny nose and Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer looks like one of our cousins. It’s far-fetched, but you know what I’m talking about.

Cicalfate Repair Cream from Avène is a product for sensitive and irritated skin that you can apply once or twice a day. It’s been my saviour in terms of dry patches and red irritated skin under my nose as well as in the corners of my mouth or under my brow [yep!].

The redness under my nose has been there since I’ve turned 11 years old and never went away whatever I tried. Now, I will not say that Cicalfate solved the enigma for me but it definitely helped the redness to fade away and the area doesn’t get dry-ish anymore.

Talking about runny noses! When I caught a cold over the Christmas holidays, the area around my nose turned into the Sahara Desert. And Cicalfate definitely helped me to speed up the process of regenerating my skin and soothing it which made it all less painful. I was applying it multiple times throughout the day in a thin layer.

I also put it on my lips. The cream sinks in very quickly, so it won’t replace your balm or a moisturising stick, but I found it helpful to keep them in a better condition and “repair” my lips.

All in all, I think it is an interesting and useful product to invest in. You don’t have to use it only on your face but anywhere on the surface of your skin where it needs some “repairing”. Plus, 40 ml for 9 € (a price in France) will last you a very long time even if you use it often. You just need a tiny bit to make it work.
